FAQ
1. What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payments made with all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners), Paypal and direct bank transfers. All credit card payments will be charged a credit card fee of 3.9% (Paypal transaction fee). Bank transfer in Euro with SEPA (bank transfer from a Euro account to a Euro account) is free of charge. Please ask your bank for a SEPA transfer.
2. When I pay by credit card or bank transfer do I get a bill?
Yes. After we have received your payment, Operawebdesign will email you the official bill.
3. When will my website be complete?
After we receive your payment and necessary materials (pictures, audio files, video files, texts for biography etc.) your website will be ready within 5 to 10 working days.
4. How do I get my material to you?
All material can be directly uploaded onto our server. All you need is the password/log-in name found on your invoice. This service is completely free!
5. Can I update anything myself?
Yes. You can update your biography and upcoming dates without any knowledge of Flash or the actual program itself. Purchase the 'Self-Update Package' in the Shop. After providing you with a tutorial, these updates can be made easily from anywhere in the world with the Notepad/Editor program on your computer.
6. Do I need a domain name and a web hosting company?
Yes, you do need a domain name and a web hosting company to publish your website. Operawebdesign will provide you with a tutorial and guide you through the process. If you already have a domain name and a web hosting company, all we need is your log-in information to publish your website.
7. Are the costs of aquiring a domain name and having a web hosting package included with a website purchase?
No. You need to purchase a domain name and webspace from a web provider or hosting company. We recommend domainfactory.com. However, any web provider/hosting company would also be possible.
8. What is PHP and MySQL and do I need it included in the web hosting package?
Yes, if you want a contact form, guestbook or blog. PHP and MySQL is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language and database that you need for anything interactive, such as a contact form, guestbook or blog. A web hosting company package should provide PHP version 4 or 5 and MySQL Database 5 in order to have optimized compatibility with Flash for your interactive wishes.
9. I live in another country. Is this a problem?
Not at all. Just send us an email or give us a call and we will answer all your questions.
10. I’m also an artist but don’t find myself represented in any of your templates. Do you have a template for me?
Of course. Any website can be adjusted to fit any artists’ needs. Please fill out our contact form and we will help you choose the best template for you!
11. I really like the background picture that comes with my template. Can I use it in my website?
Yes, you can. Background images are owned by Operawebdesign and can be purchased in the 'Extras' section of the Shop.
12. Can I use your pictures in my website?
Yes. All our pictures are for sale in the 'Extras' section of the Shop.
13. I don’t want a pre-designed template. Can you create a totally individual website just for me?
Yes. Please email us with your wishes.
